The eCPIC user interface has been completely re-designed to provide a new
and visually appealing desktop to assist users in managing an Investment
or Portfolio. The new interface comes bundled with a streamlined navigational
menu system that allows users to travel anywhere in the system with a
few clicks of the mouse. Intuitive productivity icons such as Print, and Data
Export are located in a convenient
toolbar that allows you to perform common functions with ease and
certainty. Informative mouse-overs provide guidance throughout the
application. A sort capability allows you to view data in a way that
best suits your needs. Each page displays a wealth of information, logically and
neatly laid out, to offer you the ideal environment to create and manage your
Investments and Portfolios.
The streamlined Navigation allows you to effortlessly traverse through
the application. Virtually every field on every page is just a mouse
click away. The IT Capital Planning Process is presented in a clear, concise manner
that promotes ease of use in entering data and building a compelling
business case. The lack of redundancy and repetitious data entry greatly increases
your productivity and decreases the likelihood of errors. The multiple drop-down
menus and simplified section-by-section data entry, combined with the convenient
toolbar, allow you a more efficient, sleeker approach to developing your business
cases and managing them effectively.

eCPIC includes multiple toolbars that provide users with easily recognizable
and accessible icons to quickly access most commonly used functions. A tool tip
text box appears as you mouse over each icon, giving a quick description of each tool.
The print capability can be utilized from every
screen. The e-mail icon launches a mail client directly from the application, saving
you time and effort. A review investment tool takes you directly to a project
summary page, where at a glance you can check your business case for
completeness. From any section you can toggle directly to the resource
library to read up on the latest guidance and best practices posted there. Any document
you post to the resource library can be directly associated
with a category, section, process, or initiative, making the guidance easily
attainable and clear in its relevancy. Equally as convenient is the open text
task list provided within the resource library. In this space you can enter
important memos relating to the development of your business case, or simply
assign sections to colleagues for completion. Finally, all investment projects
can be locked to prohibit other users from continuing work, or deleted if the
need arises, simply and concisely from the toolbar.
