The eCPIC Resource Library offers users the ability to access and download reference materials from anywhere within the application, including the home page. When adding a resource to the library, users can designate it as private or public, and can associate it with a resource category (defined by the System Administrator for your agency), specific section of a workflow template, investment, or portfolio. Designating a resource as public means that it will be available for viewing and downloading to anyone who accesses the home page.

This new functionality makes eCPIC valuable as a public repository for reference materials that are useful agency-wide. Private resources are secured within the application, to be accessed and downloaded only after the user has provided a valid user name and password.

Because users now have the ability to associate a resource with a specific process, template, investment, or portfolio, users may access the resource from anywhere within the investment or portfolio manager interfaces. Users are not required to navigate away from where they are entering, updating, or reviewing data to access reference materials. For instance, while working within an investment, users can click on the Resource Library icon to view all documents and references for the specific area of the investment. This becomes increasingly important when management and staff have defined specific guidance for specific processes that should be referenced / followed when updating investment data.
